  • After two editions losing, East won again 127-118. They defeated West with a 3 pointer record: 10-24.
  • Scottie Pippen was the unanimous winner of the MVP trophy. He maad 29 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals and five 3 pointers.
  • Patrick Ewing and Mark Price played great for the East, both with 20 points.
  • With 7:17 remaining in the fourth quarter, West was very close (108-107) but a 19-11 run was the end for the team.
  • In this edition, a record of 10 players made their first All-Star Game appearance, and John Starks became the first undrafted player to participate in the NBA All-Star Game.
