NBA ALL STAR VOTING RESULTS 2014 – NEW ORLEANS

Internet voting finished on January 20. The starters were announced on January 23 during a special TNT show. NBA coach selections to complete the bench were announced on January 30.

• For the third time, LeBron James was the top vote-getter.
• Kevin Love was the last minute surprise, getting Dwight Howard’s starting spot in the West.
• Stephen Curry became the 85^th first-time-all-star-starter in the game history.
• Paul George and Kyrie Irving played their second All-Star Game, the first as starters.
• Kobe Bryant was the active player selected most times to play in the NBA All-Star Game and second in the all-time list. He was injured and substituted in the starting lineup by James Harden.
• Joe Johnson and Paul Millsap (East) were selected by coaches as reserves despite not being in the Top 25 vote getters in their conference.
