The NBA has today issued the second round of the All-Star voting results. As a somewhat surprising development, Paul George jumped to third amongst West frontcourt players, leaving behind both Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis.

Last week when the first round of results was released, three players stood out with what could be described as surprisingly high number of votes.

Luka Doncic received the second most votes out of Western Conference frontcourt players and keeps his spot. Luka’s still on track to be the first rookie since Blake Griffin to become an All-Star in his first season.

Derrick Rose’s comeback season had definitely been noticed and his fans voted him all the way up to second of the Western Conference guards. James Harden’s amazing performances in the last few weeks were not enough to leapfrog him. Rose stayed second in votes and Harden is still third.

Dwyane Wade was second amongst all guards in the East and keeps his spot with a good couple of hundred thousand votes in between him and third place Kemba Walker. The Heat legend is playing in his final season, and fans want to see him in an All-Star jersey one last time.

Giannis Antetokounmpo still leads the Eastern Conference frontcourt vote-getters. The Greek MVP candidate is having a monster season and has racked up over 2.5 million votes. Other international names among top vote-getters include Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Pascal Siakam, Ben Simmons, and Goran Dragic, who’s now ninth amongst East guards. Embiid is a lock, and Jokic has a decent chance of making it this year.

LeBron James unsurprisingly still has the most votes out of all players.

The voting started on Christmas day and is open until Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 21, 2019). There is still enough time to support your favorite players.

Don’t miss the 2-for-1 days (January 10, 11, and 21). You can find all information about the voting procedures in this article.
